"HISTORY OF BASIAO"
One of the best and beautiful spot , near at Ivisan, "Basiao". Originated from the word "Basya" which means to scatter. The total land area of Basiao are 211, 789 hectares, 18.23 kilometer distance from town to poblacion. Poblacion is a cover of Ivisan. Basiao is a Baranggay part of Ivisan. province of Capiz. It is composed of 6 Sitio and they are Sitio Palanas 1, Palanas 2, Look, Baybay, Dinugmaan and Marangkalan. All the beautiful nice scene you see is located at Sitio Baybay , Dinugmaan, and last is Sitio Marangkalan. In the year 2004, the population size of Barannggay Basiao is more than 2, 604 and not more than 400 houses.
In the year 2010, the number of household are increases not more than 610 houses. Rolando U. Unasin was the Baranggay Captain In this year 2010.
